10…9…8…The countdown has already begun. Heartbeats getting faster with every passing day. The preparation still not adequate. This describes the state of a couple of lakhs of students appearing for CAT in a few days time.
Some will be rest assured of a good percentile owing to months of intense preparation. These types of people believe in copy book stuff ala Rahul Dravid. Intense hard work, oodles of discipline, picture perfect planning epitomizes these guys. They generally have a rock solid technique and can never put a foot wrong. I am sure most of them, if not all, will do well and crack into the top B-schools of the Country.
Then there are guys who mix caution with aggression. These guys seem to have some sort of an inborn talent. They never study too hard but perform exceedingly well during the exams. These types of guys never allow pressure to get the better of them and maybe that’s the reason they fare so well.
Finally, there are guys like me who believe in last minute slogging. Whether it is a University exam or CAT it is all about hitting fours and sixes in the slog overs, never mind getting caught in the process. This is not a new phenomenon to me. I try to slog everytime, get out, decide not to repeat it again and finally end up in the same precarious situation again. This time too, the situation is no different. I have just got bamboozled yet again. But let me just try to put my best foot forward and hope that my sixes and fours go well and the score just bulges up. Else I have to wait for one more exam to rectify my mistakes and I am damn sure that I will end up in the same boat again.
As they say---“Life’s journey is not to arrive at the grave safely, in a well preserved body but rather to skid in sideways, get totally bruised, shouting---“F***!!! What a ride”. Maybe I have taken this statement a bit too seriously.

1095 Not Out and still going on…
Before U guys scratch your head as to what does 1095 mean, I must inform that it is just a simple calculation(365*3)… Hope U get it now!!!
24th Ocober,2005 is arguably one of the most important days of my life because it was this day, that I started my professional career. A campus recruit from ITER, Bhubaneswar joined Wipro Technologies @Bangalore. This kick started a career that has transformed an immature boy into a more responsible Man. These 3 years have been punctuated by a 2 Month stay in Bangalore among all the hassles of the traffic, a 3 Month Stay in the calm and quiet city of Seattle and the rest in the upcoming city of Cyberabad(A word that comes from Cyber + Hyderbad).
This period has been quite a rollercoaster ride for me and I have witnessed different flavors of life being explored. A lot of friends made---Some Very Good and some not so; Working in different Projects and exploring various aspects of the IT industry with new Team Mates everytime and each set completely different from the previous set, stretching into the wee hours and Occasional Night Outs adding spice to that ; Appraisals- A couple of Good ratings and a couple not so Good(I dare say bad); Arguments with Colleagues- Sometimes to an extent that our Manager had to intervene to restore peace; All these events and many others have set a platform for an exciting career ahead.
But, now as I enter into my 4th year at WT… I am myself not sure of where am I going from here.Ofcourse, I have deviced Plans-A,B,C,D and ofcourse Plan-E which comes into picture incase all A,B,C,D flop. But Planning is one thing and implementation is something completely different. I have succeeded in the planning phase and let’s just wait n watch how do I fare in the implementation phase. This will in a great way define my future and where I am heading from here.
